Hey! I'm Matilda, currently based in Stockholm and studying to become a Java developer. My coding journey didn't start with complex algorithms at age 12. My first memory of code was in middleschool using 'Inspect Code' to mess with news websites and trick my classmates.
Finding my way to IT was a happy accident, but turned out to be the perfect fit. What hooked me was the realization that you are never truly 'done' learning. Today, I'm all in and I feel like I've found my calling. The more experience I've gained, the more I've realized that backend and DevOps is what intrests me the most.
I try to approach both life and code with curiosity, humor, and the mindset that every “oops” is just a disguised learning moment. I'm always up for a new challenge, especially if it involves tech, teamwork, or a really good Spotify playlist.
Furthermore, when I'm not glued to my computer, you'll find me lifting weights or out on a long walk - then getting too tired and catch the bus back. I love a good board game night with family or friends (even though I lose about nine out of ten times - hey, at least I'm lucky in love). Otherwise, I'm probably scrubbing the oven, reorganizing the kitchen cabinet, which I find oddly therapeutic. When I need a break you'll find me rewatching Friends for the 11th time - always with a stash of lollies, of course.
Most of these projects are still just ideas and therefore under construction and cannot yet be viewed. Click on the magnifying glass to read more about the project. However, feel free to check out my GitHub for mostly school projects
